Different body areas need different applicator designs
Body contouring clinics work with clients of different body shapes and tissue characteristics. A single applicator format may not provide the best fit for every area. Huamei Laser therefore offers two main cryo handle designs: a vacuum applicator and a flat-contact plate. The flat-plate system is also available in a connected multi-plate array, creating additional options for broad or curved treatment zones.
Vacuum applicators: secure tissue positioning
The vacuum version draws suitable tissue into the applicator cup and maintains close contact during the cooling cycle. Different applicator sizes can be selected for larger or smaller treatment areas. Adjustable suction levels allow trained operators to adapt the fit according to tissue thickness, client tolerance and the selected zone.
This format is often chosen for areas where a defined tissue fold can be positioned inside the cup. Huamei’s vacuum platform combines cryo, vacuum and LED functions, offers five suction levels and supports cooling and thermal-cycling modes. Selected configurations can operate multiple handles at the same time, helping clinics plan combination treatments efficiently.
Flat-contact plates: no suction required
The flat-plate applicator transfers controlled cooling through a broad contact surface without drawing tissue into a vacuum cup. It can be positioned on areas where suction is less comfortable, where the tissue cannot be easily captured, or where the clinic prefers a non-vacuum treatment workflow.
Different plate sizes allow the operator to match the contact area to the selected body zone. Because the plate rests directly against the treatment area, correct placement, secure fixation and complete surface contact are important for consistent cooling.
Multi-plate array: wider and more adaptable coverage
For larger or curved areas, multiple flat plates can be arranged in a connected row. The articulated array follows the body contour more naturally than a single rigid plate and distributes several cooling surfaces across the selected zone. This configuration can reduce repeated repositioning and make it easier to build standardized protocols for broad treatment areas.
Choosing the right Cryo configuration
The best choice depends on the clinic’s client profile and service model:
- · Choose vacuum applicators when secure tissue capture and cup-based positioning are preferred;
- · Choose individual flat plates for a suction-free workflow and flexible placement;
- · Choose the multi-plate array when wider or curved-area coverage is a priority; or
- · Combine applicator formats when the clinic needs maximum versatility across different body zones.
Cryo body contouring is intended for localized contouring rather than general weight loss. Client screening, applicator selection, skin protection, temperature control and operator training are essential. Treatment availability, indications and protocols must follow local regulations and the approved device documentation.
A configurable platform for professional partners
